Nas últimas três décadas, uma nova perspectiva tem surgido no estudo do teólogo holandês Jacó Armínio. Este artigo descreve várias narrativas mais antigas do teólogo Armínio que são movidas por preocupações dogmáticas e representações descontextualizadas. Estas perspectivas mais antigas são então contrastadas com a nova perspectiva, e a superioridade desta última é demonstrada.
